A dynamic and novel way to produce change and alleviate struggle. Research suggests that group therapy is just as effective as individual therapy. Many of my individual clients join one of my ongoing process groups as a way to understand how they are experienced by others (or see their “blind spots”) and how they experience their own emotional and cognitive states. Again, this offers an opportunity to unlock deeply rooted and influential patterns, and adapt to become the truest and most confident version of yourself. Group therapy can provide rapid insight, but the greatest transformations come from ongoing participation (1+ year).
An opportunity to better know your partner and yourself, and resolve long-standing patterns. Approximately one third of my practice is focused on working with couples of different orientations and stages of relationship. Through training in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy), I bring a great deal of knowledge and skill to assist couples into greater intimacy and relationship security.
Individual therapy can be utilized for quick relief or longer lasting transformations. In short term work (8-12 sessions), we can address life transitions, problem solve, and learn new ways of coping. In a long term, depth-oriented capacity, I host an environment of genuine curiosity and interest. This combined with my training in experiential therapies and neurobiology often addresses the underlying issues that keep individuals stuck and uncomfortable, leading to change that is lasting.
